Hundreds of people turned out for a Chinese New Year festival in Nashua Sunday. A costumed lion dance was just one of the traditions on display, along with food, games and crafts like making paper lanterns.

The event will take place from 4 PM to 7 PM, featuring traditional Chinese cuisine, exciting musical performances, and a variety of activities suitable for the whole family.

Join the CCSGN in celebrating the Double Ninth (Chong Yang) Festival and come hike at Miller State Park! On the 9th day of the 9th month in the Lunar Calendar, it’s traditional for people to get together and climb or hike mountains and enjoy the views. The festival is a time for community and appreciation for nature. Interested participants are required to purchase a day pass beforehand on the state park’s website.
